MELT Method / Movement Medicine: Move & MELT with Susan Creighton
Movement Medicine: Are you moving with an abundance of ease and grace?
As an advanced-level MELT Method and dance/movement instructor, I get to share the tools-toward-transformation that have helped me feel better and fitter every year. These tools enable me to be proactive about my well-being experience, and I am passionate about supporting others along their personal journey to abundant wellness.
Movement is medicine. Our bodies become maps for all our stories. On the dance floor we experience the opportunity to safely tell those stories through movement. My dance training has focused on Nia Techniques, Latin Dance, Bellydance, Bhangra, and playing in the living room with my kids.
My work and play is with kids, elders, and everyone in-between, and my passions include movement-medicine, fitness as feel-good-fun, and the sacred art of self-discovery. I’m also a big believer in the wisdom of laughter and large doses of play!
Whether you’re an athlete or someone looking to improve overall function, I can show you easy self-care techniques to support a healthy, pain-free, and active lifestyle.
Join me at Seattle area studios, fitness clubs, the Bellevue Y, or your venue.

MELT Method and Nia Classes: Move & MELT with Susan Creighton
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
MELT and Nia have been my personal tools toward transformation, helping me to feel stronger, fitter, and more balanced every year. As a Nia Instructor, I became interested in MELT to help me with the effects of too-much-dancing! I now can dance as much as I like ;)
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am the only instructor who currently teaches "Move & MELT" classes: half Nia Techniques (easy dance) and half MELT Method Techniques (specialized soft foam roller and/or small hand and foot Ball techniques). I believe in making fitness and wellness easy, non-intimidating, and fun!
