How long have you been in business?

What is your primary product or service?
Wedding and portrait photography, including family photos and high-school senior photos.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I first got started with photography in college, and very soon was seriously "hooked" and dragged my camera with me everywhere, taking photos of just about anything and everything. Shortly after graduating college I was contacted by a friend who was getting married soon, and asked if I would take pictures at her wedding. With a LOT of trepidation (I had never done a wedding before) I accepted the offer. Somewhat to my surprise I discovered that I loved it! I got several referrals from that wedding, and within a couple of years was shooting weddings almost every summer weekend. At that point I decided to get serious about photography, and officially went into business as a full-time photographer.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I try to offer a better value than anyone else, and my experience far exceeds that of all but very few photographers in the Seattle area. I was taking photos professionally before most of the current local photographers were even born! Unlike many studios, I photograph EVERY wedding I book personally, I do not "sub out" to junior or associate photographers.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location, no plans to expand.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, checks and credit cards
Which areas do you service?
Primarily the Seattle area, but I have shot weddings in California, Massachusetts, Vermont and Michigan, and I regularly take pictures at weddings all over Washington. Still hoping to book a wedding in Tahiti! ;-)
